2024 Package Raffle Disclosure & Rules
The 2024 Package Raffle is sponsored by Ocala International Horse Show, Inc. (“OIHS”), a Florida nonprofit, tax-exempt organization recognized under the Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3), whose principal place of business is 18029 Lake Reflections Boulevard, Lutz, Florida 33558. The raffle proceeds will be donated to support programs for and services by OIHS or may be donated by OIHS to another 501(c)(3) entity selected solely in the discretion of OIHS.
The random drawing will be held on Friday, October 1, 2025, at approximately 1 p.m., at the Ocala International Horse Show offices. The potential winner need not be present to win. If the potential winner is not present, OIHS will notify him or her of the results of the drawing at the mailing address or email address provided by the potential winner at the time he or she entered the drawing.
The prize is either funded by OIHS or donated by OIHS or other third parties. The winner will be issued any Internal Revenue Service (“IRS”) tax forms or other required documentation and/or reporting forms from OIHS for the prize awarded if required, and the winner is solely and exclusively responsible for all state, federal, or local income taxes that may result from his or her acceptance of prize. In some circumstances, OIHS may be required by law to withhold and remit taxes to the IRS on winner’s behalf a percentage of prize awarded.
The raffle is subject to these rules and all federal, state, and local laws. OIHS shall be entitled to interpret these rules and the laws as needed.
No purchase or contribution is required, but OIHS suggests a minimum donation of $100.00 per raffle ticket. The raffle is only offered in the State of Florida, and may be void outside the raffle area or where prohibited. To be eligible, each participant must be at least eighteen (18) years old. The potential winner must present the original winning raffle ticket to OIHS within five (5) business days of OIHS’s notice to the potential winner of the results of the random drawing. Following submission of the winning raffle ticket, the potential winner will receive a response from an OIHS representative with further instructions on how to present and/or execute all required verification paperwork (as described below). The original winning raffle ticket is the only valid receipt for claiming a prize.
In its discretion, OIHS may require the potential winner to provide his or her mailing address, telephone number, and other contact information, a completed W-9 tax form (or such other tax form as may be required), a valid government-issued photo identification, and other information as a condition of, and prior to, receiving the prize.
If the potential winner (a) fails to fully comply with these rules, (b) fails to fully comply with any original ticket presentation, verification paperwork requirements, deadlines and/or procedures, (c) fails otherwise to satisfy any eligibility or verification requirement, (d) declines to accept the prize, or (e) is otherwise determined to be ineligible, OIHS may, in its discretion, disqualify the individual and he or she will forfeit the prize, which will then revert to OIHS.
Prize or prize components are not exchangeable or redeemable for cash, may not be sold, bartered, or auctioned, and must be accepted as awarded, without substitutions. The right to receive the prize is not transferrable. Any portion of the prize not accepted by winner is forfeited and no substitute will be offered or permitted. The prize may not be substituted except that OIHS in its discretion may substitute a prize, or portion thereof, with a prize or portion of equal or greater value if it deems necessary. Any such changes will be announced.
The prize offered is provided “as is” with no warranty or guarantee either express or implied by OIHS.
